22nd Annual Sun Valley Jazz Festival

Get "in the mood" and join us for the 22nd annual Jazz Jamboree in Sun Valley, October 12-16, 2011. Over 300 performances by a variety of bands from across the U.S. and Canada will be held in 12 different venues throughout the valley. In addition, there will be lots of workshops, dance classes and dinners held throughout the event.

The music that is played covers a wide range of jazz, swing, Dixieland, blues, ragtime and classic ballads made famous by the likes of Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman and Count Basie. Even a jazzed-up hymn, country tune or patriotic melody can be heard, since nothing is sacrosanct. Festival favorites are many and include the Bill Allred Classic Jazz Band; The Titan Hot Seven, Cornet Chop Suey, Kings of Swing, Blue Street Jazz Band, Tom Rigney and Flambeau and High Sierra Jazz Band.
